Quarried from Etna · Glazed by hand

Stone born of fire,
finished for a lifetime.

Bellistri shapes solid lava stone into worktops, tables and reception desks for interiors that refuse to age. Each slab begins as basalt from Sicily and is sealed in vitreous enamel that heat, acid and time cannot touch.

The Material

Not manufactured. Formed.

Lava stone is basalt, cooled from volcanic flow over thousands of years into a dense, non-porous rock. Bellistri quarries it near Mount Etna, cuts it into slabs, and fires each surface with a glass enamel that fuses permanently to the stone. The result carries the weight and grain of real rock with a face that resists knife marks, boiling pans, wine and sun — without sealing, waxing or maintenance.

Why Lava Stone

Engineered by geology, not by us

01

Heat-proof

Pans straight from the hob leave no mark on the fired enamel surface.

02

Non-porous

Wine, oil and citrus wipe away without staining or etching the glaze.

03

Colourfast

The enamel is fired, not painted, so colour will not fade in daylight.

04

One slab, one piece

Every top is a single quarried slab — no laminate, no veneer, no seams.
